Initiating Remote Assistance Procedure
In some instances it is beneficial to allow IT support staff to perform remote screen sharing and control. This allows support staff to see your screen and use your device as though the device is physically in front of them.
In the interests of privacy and security remote screen sharing and control it can only be initiated by the person requesting assistance.
To initiate remote assistance, follow the below steps:
Install the Chrome Remote Desktop extension
From the Chrome toolbar, click on the Chrome Remote Desktop icon.
Under the Get Support heading, click Generate Code.
Send the code to IT support.
When prompted, select Share to permit the person giving you support to view and control your screen.
